While at BOX, I was the senior manager in charge of TechOps college intern hiring and was lucky enough to get Omar to join my Data Center Operations team for the summer of 2014 from CalPoly (SLO). Omar is just at the beginning of what I'm sure will be a great career in the Valley. His strong engineering background makes him very flexible and an asset in the Data Center space. One of the tasks he had was implementing a Temperature Sensing Network via ServerTech Power Manager and implementing smart powerstrips across our 3 Data Centers which he did in a professional and timely manner. He worked inside the physical data centers doing vital electrical work. Omar hails from CalPoly and at time of writing is a senior. I've done college hiring for both BOX and Cisco IT and have always been impressed with the hires from his school. A CalPoly grad knows not just the theory then can DO the work needed. I would recommend Omar unconditionally, he's simply a smart hard working young man worthy of your consideration.
